Lucy, who was born in Sydney and moved to Townsville in the 1990s, currently works as a freelance botanical illustrator at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, London, where she also teaches Botanical Art and Illustration. Lucy also teaches at the Chelsea School of Botanical Art and has previously lectured and tutored at JCU and the Open College of the Arts, Queensland. The recipient of several prestigious awards, Lucy’s scientific illustrations have been published in numerous scientific books and journals, and her works have been exhibited in several locations in Australia, as well as in England and Germany.
