Publishing Academic Research: Non-Traditional Research Outputs

This guide provides information about strategic publishing, publishing agreements, Open Access and ERA specifications.

ERA eligibility - Non-traditional research outputs (NTROs)

Non-traditional research outputs selected for ERA peer review must include a statement identifying the research component of the output in the ResearchOnline@JCU record. Research statements should be around 250 words in total and should address the following categories:

  1. Research Background: Field, context, research question
  2. Research Contribution: Innovation, new knowledge
  3. Research Significance: Evidence of excellence
