Subject Librarians -- Your subject librarian knows the best resources to use, and can help you with coming up with ideas for researching. You can contact them by email, and they can talk to you by phone or Skype if you want to arrange an appointment (within normal business hours). Find your subject librarians here.
Learning Advisers -- These incredibly helpful people can help you with all sorts of things - including how to use the right format, plan your time, brainstorm ideas and write at an academic level. They can look at your assignment to see if you have answered the question properly and give you hints and tips for writing a better assignment (give them plenty of time for this, though - don't give them a draft the day before the assignment is due). Lecturers and tutors -- If you want to know what your lecturers want, you should try asking them. Most lecturers will answer questions, and they are the best source of information about the subject. Their contact details are usually in the subject outline, and you can also find them on LearnJCU.
InfoHelp -- The InfoHelp services are based in the Library, and offer first level support for problems with JCU systems (like trouble with your passwords, email, LearnJCU or eStudent) as well as basic library enquiries. If you aren't sure who you should ask for help, click on the "Chat" icon or send an email to InfoHelp@jcu.edu.au. We'll point you in the right direction.
Student Services -- There are a number of other support teams within Student Services, and they can help you with most areas of student life.
Ask for help whenever you need it, and don't wait until the last minute (you can ask at the last minute, too, but it's less stressful if you ask earlier). Remember, "the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask."
