Managing your profiles
Each of the following databases list your research outputs and citations that have been recorded in that database. To ensure that the data is comprehensive and accurate, it is imperative that you make sure that all of your publications are assigned to your profile, and if publications have been incorrectly assigned, that they are removed from your profile.
The links for each of the databases take you to a LibGuide pages that provides information about managing your profile in that database.
Scopus Author Identifier
Corrections that you make to your Scopus profile will feed into your profile in SciVal. You can also make corrections to your publication listing in SciVal, which will automatically be updated in Scopus.
ResearcherID is the author identification tool provided by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). ResearcherID enables you to track citations to your research outputs that are indexed in Web of Science.
Google Scholar often indexes publications that are not included in Scopus or Web of Science. It is recommended that you have a Google Scholar profile, particularly if you have published reports or types of outputs, and if your work is likely to be cited by non-academic users e.g. Government or NGOs.
Other recommended data sources
In addition to SciVal, other recommended databases for benchmarking your research using the metrics in this LibGuide are listed at the bottom of each page for each metric.
