Family History Guide

This guide is designed to help with family history research and provides suggestions for resources from other institutions and organisations.

Family History Association on North Queensland

The Family History Association of North Queensland can arrange for someone to work with you on your family history project.

Community members with research skills in local and family history who are very adept at finding sources are available to give advice and guidance in your searching.

There is a charge for FHANQ's services, but they are able to dedicate time to helping you with your project.

Contact them to find out more about how they can help you by visiting their website or calling (07) 4728 2833.

Refer to the Useful Sources tab to find the contact details for other Family History organisations that may be able to help.

JCU Library Resources

Library staff at the James Cook University Library are happy to assist you with accessing the materials in our collection.
