Store slips

Printing Store slips

Purpose:  

  • To print slips from ALMA for store books

ALMA Roles

  • Fulfillment Officer
  • Collection Inventory Officer

Responsibility:  

  • Librarians (Library Experience)
  • Open ALMA
  • Perform a Physical Items search (by title, barcode, etc.).
  • Click on the gears to Manage Column Display.

  • Change to single column display.

  • Drag the following options to the top of the list and deselect the remaining options.

  • Save.
  • Select and copy the text. Use Ctrl + C (not the Alma copy option) in order to keep the hard returns.

  • Paste into a Word document.
  • Select and delete extra lines.

  • Edit the file to look like this:
    • Select text and change font colour to black.
    • The title of the book should be Bold, Underlined and size 12
    • Enter so that each record part is on a different line
    • Bold the different record parts and underline the title
    • text should be size 10.5 
    • leave text type as Roboto

  • Select the Secure_Black or Secure_Colour printer and click Print.
  • Release it from 
  • Fold in half length-wise and insert into item.
  • Return the item to its location in the Store compactus.

Make sure that you restore your list settings after printing.

To restore your list settings, click on the gears to Manage Column Settings and then on Restore list defaults.

P-Store row number & slips: 

  • If the item is a P Store item, go into the Physical Items search results screen and click on the item title to see the Record View
  • Check which Store Row the item belongs in (MARC line 966) and add the row number to the Permanent Location line in the Word document.

  • Place the appropriate RED slip in the book for reshelving
