All members of the community were invited to join in a fun and informative morning discussion with a selection of artists from the “Celebrating Townsville” exhibition about “the things” that matter to them. We explored how the objects artists collect play a vital role in their creative work and lives in a discussion panel hosted by Dr. Jonathan McBurnie – Director, Umbrella Studio contemporary arts, and Bronwyn McBurnie - Special Collections Librarian at JCU Library.
We acknowledge the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and acknowledge Traditional Owners of the lands where our staff and students, live, learn and work.
