Integrative Reviews

Plan the review

There are a number of steps to planning an integrative review:

  1. Define the question – use a model such as PICO or SPICE to create an answerable question.
  2. Check the topic and run some searches to ensure that:
    1. no-one else is working on or has completed a review on the topic
    2. the topic is manageable
  3. Determine inclusion/exclusion criteria that may apply.
  4. Develop a protocol, including writing it up and registration .
