Staying up to date: Alerting & current awareness services: Books

This guide provides information about how to set up alerts to be notified of new information in your field across resources such as journals, books, websites, conferences, research data and funding.

New books in the JCU Library

The Library provides a New Books List each week.

You can subscribe to the list to be emailed the latest books added to the Library Collection.

Publisher alerts

Most publishers provide alerts for new books. Below are a selection of alerts for academic publishers. If your favourite is not on this list, go to their webpage and look for RSS feeds or email alerts.

Online Bookstores

There are a number of web services that allow you to set up alerts for new books, including publishers and booksellers. There are also a number of free sites that monitor books for sale over a variety of sources. Some of these are listed below.

Also check relevant publishers and bookstores to sign up for alerts.
