A Web of Science Researcher Profile can be used to collate many of your academic activities in one place:
- Track publications and citations (download a citation report)
- Showcase journal editorial and/or peer-review work
- Showcase conferences and grants.
Did you know?
- Publons has integrated with Web of Science. If you have a Publons-Researcher ID bookmark or link, it will now redirect you to your Web of Science Researcher Profile.
- Web of Science and EndNote Online use the same login credentials.

Register for a Web of Science Researcher Profile
- Start with Web of Science registration
- Complete the Register fields using your JCU email address > click the Register button
- Web of Science will then search for research outputs that match your details and add them to your Researcher Profile (see below to add outputs manually)
- Edit your profile to show the names you have published under, your primary organisation/affiliation, peer review preferences and ORCID syncing.
What if I have more than one Researcher Profile or Researcher ID?
You should only have one Web of Science Researcher Profile and/or Researcher ID. To merge profiles:
- Login to Web of Science
- Drop down the options from your name (located top right of the screen) > click Settings
- Click Account Settings > Delete/merge account tab
- Select the radio button I need to merge duplicate accounts > enter the ResearcherID’s of your duplicate accounts > Click Submit request
- Check your email and confirm/verify your request to merge accounts.
How do I showcase conferences, grants and peer reviews?
- Login to Web of Science
- Drop down the options from your name (located top right of the screen) > click Profile Settings
- Scroll right and select the Peer Review Preferences tab.
- Work through the options to manage your reviewer, author, grant and peer review availability preferences.

How do I manually add publications to my Researcher Profile?
- Login to Web of Science
- Click the Researcher Profile (person) icon in the black bar on the left-hand side of the screen
- If necessary, scroll down until you see the Documents tab > Click + Manage
- Click + Add publications and use the drop-down boxes:
- Add email addresses from previous publications
- Add an identifier, e.g. DOI, PubMed ID
- File upload: RIS, BibTex or CSV file (e.g. export from your EndNote library)
- Sync with ORCID.
