Using One Search

Using the library's search tool, One Search, to find journal articles, books, book chapters and much, much more.

Browse Search

Browse search enables you to find works that would be situated next to each other if they were organised according to your preference. Click on Browse by in the options at the top of the screen.

Screen shot of top of screen, showing "browse by" next to "new search"

You can browse:

  • Alphabetically by author
  • Alphabetically by title
  • Works published in a series.
  • In Dewey Decimal order by call number
  • By Library of Congress Subject Heading (using Subject)
  • By MeSH

A Browse search will show a list of candidates with the number of records associated with that result. Click on the item in the list to run a search for that candidate in One Search (e.g., click on the name of the author to search for all works written by that author). Your selection will then appear as a search results page, and you can select or save your results from here.
