Weekend task list

Responsibility:  Library Experience Staff – Normally Library Experience Assistants

  • Check return chute at beginning and end of shift.
  • Collect key-safe key from its hiding place.
  • Unlock internal rooms for all the keys on the large key ring in key safe.
  • Check Expired Holds list  - (check all four tabs)

Remove items from holds shelf and return items using the Return Items tab

Make sure thatPlace directly on hold shelf button” is checked Yes

If there is a message saying “Item is on Hold Processing Shelf” it means the
 ‘Place directly on hold shelf’ button is not on Yes.

Change it to Yes then return the item again.

  • Click Active Hold Shelf tab

Make sure all items in the Active Hold Shelf Items list are on the Holds shelf

Check shelves upstairs for any missing items.

Leave a list in Mark’s tray of any you can’t find.

  • Click Pick from Shelf tab

Print list and retrieve items from shelves upstairs.

Use Return Items or Scan in Items

Make sure thatPlace directly on hold shelf button” is checked Yes

  • Mending including erasing pencil marks from books.
  • Pick up books left on desks and tidy furniture on all floors once during shift.
  • Check phone next to workroom computer for any messages.

Message/Envelope button will be red.

Press message button enter PIN 12121# and follow prompts.

  • Clean whiteboards and bring mobile whiteboards out into public areas from rooms.
  • Clean glass whiteboard walls on ground floor.
  • Lock internal rooms for all the keys on the large key ring in key safe at before end of shift
