Guide to the Harvard Referencing Style, as used by Australian Government bodies

Magazine Articles

Format Author A (Day Month Year) ‘Title of article: subtitle of article’, Name of Magazine, accessed Day Month Year.
Example

Johnson C (12 November 2021) 'Uncovering the lives of whales to better understand our oceans', WWF Australia blog, accessed 23 November 2021. https://www.wwf.org.au/news/blogs/uncovering-the-lives-of-whales-to-better-understand-our-oceans#gs.gq5tvr

Note:

  • Include as much date information as possible. Some magazines may only include the Month or season of publication. e.g. Spring 2021
  • Hyperlink the URL of the title of the blog post or magazine if found online. 
  • If an article doesn't list an author, use the name of the blog/magazine in the author position.

For EndNote users:

Field notes
  • Enter the year the article was published into the Year field.
  • Enter the day and month the article was published into the Date field.
