JCU Library Experience Procedures ALMA: Fulfilment

Reordering and Changing Hold Queues

Purpose: 

  • To change and reorder item in the hold queues

Alma Role required:

  • Circulation Desk Operator
  • Fulfillment Operator
  • Request Operator

Responsibility 

  • Library Experience staff
  • Open ALMA
  • Location should be [Your campus]- Circulation desk
  • Go to Fulfilment →  Resource Requests →  Monitor requests and item processes
  • Select title or barcode
  • Search for title or barcode in the search bar and press enter (making sure it matches the picture below)

  • You will see a listing for each request for that title

  • Click on Place in Queue hyperlink (number)

  • The request queue will show who has requests on that item and allow you to change the order.

  • Click on the three dots to the far right of the screen on the client you wish to move and click Edit
  • Use the Manual Priority dropdown to select where in the queue you want the patron to be eg if they need to be at the top select first (priority is listed lowest to highest)

  • Submit
  • Selected client will move to the top of the queue unless one of the requests it has a higher priority.
