Personal communication

Format:

Name the speaker, their title, the type of communication (eg email, letter, etc) and the date in text.                               

Examples:

No entry appears in the reference list.

In-text citation:

Professor S Colepepper (John Croft University) stated in an email on 1 April, 2010, that ...

This was refuted by Dr M Fieldman ([Australian Institute of Transitional Studies] 2015, pers. comm., 1 April), who stated ...
