Content is the subject matter that relates to the particular purpose, topic and context of the writing.

Definition (informal)

Content: What are you going to put in it?

Example

For example, the content about intelligence in the Persuasive Essay Example relates to the topic of nature and nurture in the context of school education.

The debate is particularly significant in the context of intelligence as measured by the intelligence quotient (IQ).
