SYNTAX

 

Definition (formal)

Articles are words that determine a specific or general noun (e.g., a, an, the, this).

Example

For example, the following sentence contains an incorrect article for the noun ‘challenge’. The article should be 'a'.

It can be an challenge for teachers to balance the two in the classroom.
